Implant dentistry

Implant dentistry involves replacing a missing tooth (or teeth) with a dental implant and an implant crown, bridge or denture. The dental implant is a biocompatible titanium rod that is surgically placed in your jaw to act as an artificial tooth root. Being biocompatible, there is minimal risk of your body rejecting the dental implant. Once the implant is inserted into your jawbone, the bone will integrate with the implant creating a strong and sturdy artificial tooth root.

When the bone has integrated with the implant, the implant crown, arch or denture will be attached to the dental implant. The treatment options we offer include:

Your jaw and implant dentistry

For implant dentistry to be successful you must have adequate jawbone density. If you have inadequate jawbone density Dr Burhaan Kassim is qualified to carry out bone augmentation and bone grafting for patients with insufficient jawbone density.
